About Me...

Hello everyone,

My name is Kezia and I am a business student pursuing a designation in accounting in Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada.

When I was researching about SNU's exchange program, there wasn't a lot of recent information, so I hope my posts will be be useful and at the same time interesting for you, though I don't know who and if anyone would even read. This is my first blog whatsoever, so bear with me as I stumble my way in the world of blogging and in Korea. :)

I have always been very culturally diverse; ever since I was a little kid, actually. I am a proud Chinese Canadian but have moved between cities like Hong Kong, Beijing, and Vancouver almost every 2 years and finally settled in Toronto in 2009. That is why I can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, and English fluently! French is my fourth language but I suck at it (my decision to minor in it equates to nothing in fluency).

Why I chose Korea? Well, that's because this country is not foreign to me at all! No, I have never been to it; neither do I know the language; nor do I have any Korean friends. Kpop, Kdrama, hallyu! Sound familiar? That's right! Although I am not too too crazy about them, they have introduced to me a whole new culture. There are some similarity to the Chinese culture, but at the same time is very unique! Kpop acted like a key to the door of Korea for me, but it was the culture itself that really captivated me.

Anyway, I'm not very good at these self-intro things, but I can just tell this is going to be a great trip! Hope you have fun with me too!

Kezia
